Thunder Thighs

Check out these month an a half old thighs!  He is definitely my chunkiest baby!  I think that's interesting too since I formula fed the other two.  I always heard formula fed babies are bigger.  Huh.. 

So cute!  We are enjoying his smiles!

They crack me up!  Jacob always convinces Hunter to play Star Wars with him, even though Hunter would rather be playing with cars! 

Circus Time

Hunter has been having Circus Week at his preschool.  While most clowns are creepy, this one is adorable!!

Nightmare Conclusion

I have been having a huge problem with Blog posting lately.  Apparently I have reached my free 1 GB of storage and was unable to post any more pictures (notice how long it took me to finish my Christmas post).  I went through and tried deleting old posts and pictures to make room (since I had made them into a book already), but it seemed like after deleting hundreds of pictures, I would only have room to upload a handful before I was "full" again.  My only other option was to pay $5 per year for 20 GB of storage. I really fought succumbing to the fee.  I don't like being backed into a corner like that.  I had decided to just keep deleting old posts as I made new ones, but that would take much longer than I would like, plus it was hard to delete those memories, even if they were in a book.  I like the security knowing that if one part of my memorabilia is ruined by some horrible fate, there is a back up or a way to fix it.  So I decided to stop erasing and let Google/Blogger have the best of me in honor of my memories.  So goodbye $5 a year.  I have made peace with losing you.

I feel like Hunter hasn't been getting enough face time on the blog lately between lost teeth and the new baby.  He is such a ham in front of the camera!  Here is a "pwengwin" he made at preschool.  One of the flippers is ripped.  He brought it to me a few weeks ago and requested I throw it away since it ripped.  I told him I would tape it for him and it doesn't need to go in the garbage yet.  Well the tape didn't hold.  He brought it to me again and asked me to throw it in the garbage since it was ripped.  I figured if he is ready to part with it I should be too!  Jacob and I are a little more sentimental and get attached to things.  We have a small hoarding tendency.  We get it from my mom.  He had a white paper bag from his 100th day of school that he colored on and they put treats in.  We were cleaning his room last night and I told him it was time for the bag to go in the garbage.  He acted horrified that I would ask him to throw away "one of his favorite" things!  I told him he could do it or wait until he wasn't looking and I would do it anyways.  I'm not sure if it actually ended up in the garbage.  I wouldn't be surprised if he hid it somewhere to prolong it's existence in our home!  

Our First Lost Tooth

Jacob has had a loose tooth for about a month now.  We first realized it on Friday, December 10th while eating out at Chili's.  Jacob bit into his corn on the cob and complained that it hurt his tooth.  I checked it and it sure was loose!  He was so excited!  He was sure to tell our Chili's waiter each time he came to our table.  He has been diligently wiggling it to help speed it along.  He finally lost it on Saturday, January 8th, while biting into his Papa John's pizza.  He got a confused look on his face and said something like, "what the?"  Then he spit the bloody thing in his hand.  He was SO excited the day had finally come!  Trevor & I both felt dread.  We realized our son is growing up!  We would like him to stop!!  We talked about the tooth fairy coming that night and he said he wanted to wait so he could take it to school and show his class.  He said his teacher sings kids the tooth song when they lose one.  It was Saturday night when he lost it.  Because of parent-teacher conferences he didn't have school again until Thursday.  So he carried his tooth around in a baggie all week.  The next morning after losing his tooth, he showed Hunter and Hunter put his finger in the space where Jacob's tooth used to be and gasped.  It was so cute!  There has been a lot of losing teeth talk around these parts by both Jacob and Hunter.  On Thursday night, the 13th, the tooth went under the pillow.  The Tooth Fairy was very kind.  She brought Jacob a $2 bill.  I thought that would be exciting for him.  When he brought the envelope to me at 2 a.m. he pulled out the bill and then continued to look for more.  Apparently he told Trevor the next morning that maybe the Tooth Fairy would bring something different next time, like a coin.  Hmm..

Jacob had lots of questions about the Tooth Fairy.  One of them was "What does she do with my tooth?"  I didn't have an answer for him so asked him what he though.  He said he thought she took the tooth and turned it into the $2.  I thought that was a pretty imaginative guess.

Jacob is already busy wiggling the tooth next to it which has just started coming loose. 

Celebrating the New Year

Adam started the New Year off right by taking his first bath at home!  His stump fell off about a week ago, but the doctor wanted us to give it a few more days.  He didn't know what to think about this new experience.  I enjoyed having my baby smell clean and fresh for once!

We made our way to Doug & Rachelle's that afternoon for a family party.  We had lunch and then got all the kids together for the bi-annual cousin shot since everyone was here.  The kids were getting blinded in this first picture.  Having them look into the sun was the only way to avoid shadows on faces!  They endured the blindness nicely!  Adam cried the ENTIRE time they were taking this!  He had just woken up from his hours long daytime slumber and was HUNGRY!  It was also FREEZING this day!  I'm not sure what possesses Dawson & Daxton to wear shorts when it's 50 degrees out, but they obviously felt fine!

We regathered the kids for another picture indoors where the sun wasn't blinding them and the freezing temperatures weren't a factor.  Plus Adam had eaten so he was happy!  Zachary always has the pleasure of holding our newborns for these photos!

Adam slept for the entire party..minus the part where he was awake and screaming for food!  No one believes he is ever really awake!

When Tiffaney tried to leave, she had another thing coming!  My boys latched onto her legs and wouldn't let her go!  It was really cute!
