Handsome Boys

I was so excited the boys actually wanted to wear their sweater vests for once!  It started with a cold morning (loved the rain this weekend) and Hunter's desire to be warm and wear a white shirt like Jacob's.  After seeing Hunter so excited about his vest, Jacob jumped on the bandwagon and wished he had a vest he could wear.  I magically pulled one out for him and dusted it off since he has always refused to wear it before (they both have refused to wear any type of vest in the past).  Top that off with an unbelievably cute baby who has no say in whether he wears a sweater vest or not and VOILA!  The cutest kids at church today!  It is rare that we are all ready to go with time to spare before church.  I grabbed that opportunity and ran with it!  Hunter gave his first talk in Primary today.  He looked so handsome and did a wonderful job!

Spring Fling Open House

We went to Jacob's Open House at school to see all the projects he has been working on.  He has been so excited about his "party."  It was from 5-6 p.m.  At 5:15, I remembered about it and thought for a second, "oh well, I'm already in my pajamas, so I'm not going."  Then I thought about Jacob and how disappointed he would be when he realized that we missed it.  So I redressed myself and we went over to the school.  He was so excited to show us all of his work.  He has also been talking about these frogs at school and asking if he can bring them home if he wins them.  I said it was OK if he won them, thinking it was a long shot..

Say hello to his new pet frogs, Ben & Enrique.
He came up with the name Ben but the teacher had already named the other one Enrique..he just can't remember what Ben's old name was.  He won a drawing that he got to enter that night at the open house.  I was really excited for him when I found out he won.  I knew how hopeful he was.  It is always fun to win a random prize!  Now I'm just keeping my fingers crossed for that Powerball to finally come through!

My Eye Sore

Jacob has been dressing himself for school lately.  Didn't he do such a good job matching?  Haha.  Really it was Wacky Day for Spirit Week.  We put together the best mismatched outfit we could find.  It was a hit!  I love that he is so uninhibited.  I'm sure it won't be long before he starts having dress standards and won't want to participate in Wacky Dress Day for school.  For now we will enjoy the free spirit that comes with being a kid.

Big Brother

I think Hunter makes Adam a little nervous!

Red Velvet

Hunter has been pretty accident prone lately, but luckily this is not a result of one of those incidents.  He was licking the bowl of red velvet cupcake batter.  It is amazing how deeply red this batter is (it was a Sprinkles mix).  They were awfully delicious..batter and cream cheese frosted cupcake!

Unfortunately, the potent red color doesn't only stain faces, fingers & tongues.
It's hard to see it after I scrubbed and scrubbed and cursed the very fact that I still have carpet in my kitchen (a frequent cursing since we spill on it..well..frequently)!!!

Visiting Easter Bunny

We were out shopping with my Mom and were surprised to find the Easter Bunny there taking visitors.  Ever since I found out they won't let you take your own pictures, we haven't made it a point to go visit the Easter Bunny.  I don't enjoy feeling robbed just to commemorate a seasonal moment.  My Mom was generous and treated us to a picture.  It turned out really cute.
Next year, Adam probably won't be so happy!

Hunter's Lip Mishap

We had a collision in our hallway over here.  Hunter's lip and some part of Jacob's body.  Hunter lost.

Tom was nice enough to take a look at it and seal it with dermabond.  If it doesn't hold he'll need stitches.  So far so good.

We are still waiting for the swelling to go down so we can see how bad of a scar he will have.  Good thing he's a boy and scars are cool!
