Hunter has been pretty accident prone lately, but luckily this is not a result of one of those incidents. He was licking the bowl of red velvet cupcake batter. It is amazing how deeply red this batter is (it was a Sprinkles mix). They were awfully delicious..batter and cream cheese frosted cupcake!
Unfortunately, the potent red color doesn't only stain faces, fingers & tongues.
It's hard to see it after I scrubbed and scrubbed and cursed the very fact that I still have carpet in my kitchen (a frequent cursing since we spill on it..well..frequently)!!!

Oh, SERIOUSLY? Carpet in the kitchen?! That is crazy talk.
(I'm another mean mom who does not really encourage messes, screeching, or mud wrestling. They are welcome to go *outside* and do whatever their wild little hearts desire, but in the house, I like reading books, building with legos, paper dolls, coloring (with washable implements!) and other quiet, dignified pursuits. :)
