Enjoying the Ride

It was a regular Saturday.  We were puttering around, cleaning and getting things done.  Then Trevor asked me if I wanted to go riding.  Um...sure.  It wasn't my first idea of how to spend my Saturday, but it turned out fun.
We went to Bull Dog Canyon.  It is nice to have a riding place that is nearby and just as beautiful as the other spots we have been.  We packed a picnic and set out.

After about an hour of driving our bikes, the boys and I informed Trevor that we were ready for our picnic.  Trevor found this cave-like cove.  The boys had a blast climbing up the rocks and throwing rocks into the nearby stream.

We drove through lots of water left over from all the rain.  We had a few scary moments. Trevor's ATC started to tip but he expertly grabbed Hunter by the arm and flung him to safety.  Then I was going up a hill and got stuck on some rocks.  I tried to accelerate to get out of it and my front end started to come up.  I really thought it was gonna tip over on us.  I jumped off and held Jacob so he wouldn't fall and held the bike steady until Trevor could come rescue us.  I was a little hill-shy after that and passed the honors over to Trevor whenever one would scare me.  It was much easier for us to just walk up them and let him do the dirty work!

We stopped by his parent's on the way home and visited with them for a bit.  It was nice to spend time with them since it seems like such a rare occasion lately!  Hunter didn't make it home awake.  I tried to keep him up so he could eat his Burger King dinner, but he was "really really tired."
