I didn't think I'd be able to make it to Hunter's & Jacob's Christmas programs this year. They were both on the 18th, the day after I got out of the hospital. I was feeling well and Trevor's mom offered to watch the baby for Hunter's program. I really wanted to be there for both of them. I was worried they would feel left out if I wasn't able to go cause I had to stay home with the baby. It was SO fun to watch them!
Hunter actually sang the words that he knew and did the actions as best he could. Such a difference from Jacob! When he did this program a few years ago, he just stood there and wouldn't do anything!
I brought the video camera along to tape the performance. We had used it during the delivery and the tape had run out. I was sure to grab another tape before we left. Unfortunately, this tape was already used! We didn't realize it until we went to push record. Trevor rewound the tape and discovered it had Jacob's preschool program on it from 2 years earlier, the same stage, building and everything! I was really bummed I couldn't record it, but Sabrina had her camera and promised to share the video with me. Plus I was able to use my regular camera and record a few songs, so at least I got something!
He actually smiled on Santa's lap this year for the first time ever!!!
Grandma was able to come see the show. Cousin Alek was part of the performance as well.
Jacob's show was that evening. Kathleen was nice enough to babysit for us so we could attend. I was so happy that the performance only lasted 12 minutes! AWESOME! The stage was so far away so this is the best picture we could get. It's kind of creepy with all those white eyes!
Jacob was so excited about his reindeer glasses and shirt. They made those shirts in class with his actual hand and footprints. SO CUTE! Hunter was obviously ready for bed as usual by this time of night. And he was a little jealous of Jacob's glasses.
Merry Christmas!
