My Birthday!

I had a GREAT 32nd birthday!
My birthday started at 1 a.m.  I woke up to use the bathroom and I couldn't fall back asleep after that.  A little after 2, just when I was starting to drift off (of course), Hunter came in (I think he had a bad dream). I was taking him back to his bed when he started throwing a fit.  I rocked him in a chair for a little bit and tried a few more times to lay him down.  Each time he would get upset.  I finally got him to lay down if I was there with him.  We started on the floor and then moved to his very space-limited toddler bed.  I was hoping he'd drift right off and I could go back to my bed.  About 30 minutes later with an arm that had fallen asleep, I decided to try and make a break for it. He opened his eyes and started to get upset.  I explained to him that I couldn't sleep in his bed and I needed to go back to mine. He seemed to take it pretty well.  I climbed back into my bed around 3:30.  It didn't take him long to find his way to my bedside again.  I reluctantly let him climb in bed with me, hoping we could both get some sleep.  2 minutes after he layed down, he hopped out of bed and whispered, "I'll be right back!"  He came back with his water and another blanket.  By then Trevor was awake and not very happy.  Hunter tried to leave again to go get something else, but I told him he needed to stay in bed.  Trevor got irritated and left to hopefully get some uninterrupted sleep on the couch.  Hunter layed in his spot.  He finally fell asleep around 4:30.  I moved him back to his bed and I was finally able to fall back asleep.
Trevor and I had made plans to go out to breakfast, but those were cancelled when I couldn't drag myself out of bed that morning before he left for work!
Jacob had swimming class at 10, then I dropped my kids off at my sister's (thanks Ashley!) and went out with my mom.  We got pedicures and then went to Liberty Market for lunch.  Sabrina met us there.  It was fun, but after eating I got SO tired!  We ran a few more errands before I collected my kids and went home to attempt a nap before Trevor and I went out that night. I dozed for a few minutes in between the phone ringing and kids fighting (I told Jacob and Hunter that they couldn't fight or be mean to each other since it was my birthday..that was ALL I wanted from them on my birthday.  It didn't work).  One of those phone calls was from my friend, Leah.  I didn't answer since I was trying to sleep and the next thing I knew, her and her husband were at the door.  She had made me the cutest candy gram!  I was so excited since I haven't gotten one of these since Jr. High, probably.  I was really touched by how thoughtful it was!
I hated to dismantle it, but I thought a picture of it would be good enough!  The kids were begging for me to share the candy with them!
When Trevor got home from work, we gathered for a quick birthday photo (thanks Tiffaney for taking the picture and for babysitting!) and then headed out.  We went to Joe's Farm Grill for dinner and then Trevor took me to see Eclipse.  We were both so tired after our sleepless morning, but wanted to take advantage of having a babysitter!  It was good, but I felt like it was really long since I was so tired.  I'll need to see it again when I'm well rested!
I had such a nice day with lots of birthday wishes from my dear friends and family.  Thanks for remembering and for making my day special!!
