9 years later!
Hard to believe that picture is of the same couple!
Hard to believe that picture is of the same couple!
We spent our anniversary weekend on the road. Trevor had a business trip in Gallup, New Mexico and all of us tagged along! On our way up, I turned on my camera to take a picture and noticed the battery light was blinking. I was totally distraught that we might have to go a whole weekend without a camera! Luckily it lasted the entire time! We stayed in New Mexico on Thursday night. The boys had a nice LONG nap on the way up and it was impossible to get them to settle down and go to bed. I think it was almost 11 before they finally drifted off.
On Friday, after Trevor was done with work, we headed to our trailer in Pinetop. It was SO nice to get out of the heat for a few days!
On Saturday we had wonderful rainy weather for most of the day so we were indoors a lot! Jacob enjoyed playing outside in the rain. Hunter didn't care for the thunder. Trevor and I enjoyed them both! We love rain storms!
It was our anniversary on Sunday.
Trevor was impressed by this ant carrying a gigantic spider. Unfortunately when I moved a rock to try and get a better picture, the ant flew away, leaving behind his meal. I felt kind of bad!
We shot BB guns.
We went for a nature hike.
I'm kind of bummed this family shot came out blurry. Self-timers are not always reliable!
While hiking, we found this beautiful pond.
We found some cactus with lots of beautiful flowers. Trevor and I had a picture taking contest to see who could get a better shot. Which one do you like better?
I have to admit, I wasn't very excited to spend our anniversary in the woods. I much prefer a cozy hotel (minus kids). It was a very nice weekend and I did enjoy it! We will celebrate my way another time.
We were sad to come home to the heat. While driving home, the lowest temperature the thermostat read was 58 degrees! HEAVEN! We kept the window down for as long as possible to soak it all up before coming home to reality and triple degree temperatures!
Just outside Payson, we hit some CRAZY rain. It was absolutely pouring for the last hour or so of our trip. I was a bit scared when our car started hydroplaning off the highway. Luckily we all made it safely and in one piece!
Downside to coming home from vacation: Unpacking!!
Upside: I have barely seen the kids today! They are too busy getting reacquainted with all of their toys!

Happy Anniversary and a late Happy Birthday! I can't believe how old we're getting or that you've been married for 9 years. I love that we're still friends after all these years!
Happy Anniversary! I'm glad you got to be away from life for a chillaxin weekend!a
